28 Nov 2019

“In order to build a world of entrepreneurs, you need to continuously invest in the people around you, whether they are from the professional workplace or even your neighbour. It is amazing to see our mission of growing, innovating and impacting talent being given the spotlight”, states Ko Chuan Zhen, our CEO and co-founder.

As of this week, our co-founders Ko, Ryan Oh Zhi Kang and Poh Tyng Huei were announced the winners of the 2019 Ernst and Young (EY) Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year at the EY Awards Gala. Commemorating and to celebrate this occasion as well as the hard work we have given all these years, Plus Solarians were granted a day of leave.

After selecting winners of each category, the panel will select the entrepreneur from the winners to compete in the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year.  This award is one of the world’s most prestigious business award programs for entrepreneurs, recognizing entrepreneurial activity among those with leadership and achievement while inspiring others to lead successful and dynamic businesses. The “Entrepreneur of the Year” celebrates business leaders by recognizing them through regional, national and global awards in more than 145 cities in over 60 countries.

As the nation’s leading total clean energy solutions provider, achieving the winning title of EY’s Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year is a mark of recognition of hard work and innovation to ensure the nation can become part of the greater energy revolution. We would like to thank EY Malaysia for this award and encourage you to join us on this journey of reshaping the way energy is consumed and generated, one community at a time.

We would like to thank every Plus Solarian, clients and partners that have contributed to our mission. Seven years ago, achievements like this were only something we could dream of. However, we believed in our mission to change the conventional energy consumption pattern and persisted through pitfalls and challenges. To date, we have a project track record of 136MWp.

In addition to this recent achievement, we have received numerous awards for our track record for the past few years which include but are not limited to AmBank BizRACE – First Runner-Up 2018, MOSHPA 2018 14th OSH Excellence National Award – Solar PV Engineering, The Star Outstanding Business Award (SOBA) – Most Promising Business Award 2017, Platinum Business Awards – SME Green Excellence Award 2016, Nanyang Golden Eagle Award (GEA) – Excellent Eagle Award 2015 & 2016 and more.
